I told 300 people:
"You better be ready to have a kid before you get on camera."
So...I guess I'm just recording the process of getting ready! :)
....I'm not ready yet.
BUT I STILL STAND BY WHAT I SAID BECAUSE:
"What you record WILL make you an example for someone, sometime, later on in life."
And in the world of AI?
You WILL be an example for something, someone, in someway or somehow!
Which is why I'm ready to face the consequences of the 300 people that I promised over & OVER again "the Podcast that will save the world will be ready soon!"
But I'm not sorry it took this long.
Because I can't... I found Christ & His Story of Redemption.
And by proclaiming my faith, it means I have to be a good example doesn't it?
And for some... this means going to church every Sunday.
When I have kids, yes, I will!
But right now, this topic pains me.
It pained me so much, it stopped me from recording until I realized:
A Christians job isn't to lead people to church, but to Christ.
And right now, I'm recording the time between me finding the church I like.
This isn't me finding a loophole!
This is me being honest:
#1. I feel called to lead people to Christ.
#2. I believe He leads you to your church.
#3. I can't let your shame keep me from something I feel called to do.
Right now... I'm still figuring this out. But above all, I'm saying it so I'm snared by it: "People with kids GOTTA GO TO CHURCH"
...I will FOR SURE be going every Sunday if that happens.
BUT, until Providence leads me to a church, I NEED to be "Rick, the Christian without a Pastor" for now.
Because how else can I record an unbiased start to this journey?
Q: RICK, Aren't you afraid of sharing your faith?
A: Honestly... my background in journalism made me feel made for this because "the job is following the truth no matter where it leads you..." (and since Christ is exactly that and more... or as I am told :)
*If anything else, please direct all spiritual questions to @JesusChickenCharlie, he's also playing Chicken with Jesus & recording the process.
I'm doing something similar with The Reflection Age podcast but that's more like "open therapy for my thirties."
JUST IN CASE...
KIDS:
If you're under 25, you better be at church.
BOYS:
Your financial clock starts ticking at 30.
So don't let a woman ruin your life before you can retire your parents and afford their housekeeping, caregiving, & nurses.
GIRLS:
...Listen to old happy women with happy successful grandchildren.
HUSTLERS:
Listen to old rich men that can be happy with or without a Bugatti.
As humbly as I can... here I am.
The first example of "Torpedo Journalism"
I coined it in the future.
Trust me & what it says on my shirt.
Lets be civil with This Bread. The Literal bread that makes our universe tangible.
Word.
Let's start there shall we? :)
In my perspective... I'm cooking.
Still am.
Which means they're still cooking.
Which means sometimes you gotta love from a distance
until love brings you back!
In this way, Good Word really does lead to good things.
So remember...
Good Word is Love.
It wouldn't have any falsehoods.
😇
Yes... but you gain character.
Because truth is, they liked your old character..
You want to be renewed.
Which makes it interesting... because Christianity makes you see the world as family, which means you don't just give up on the people you love...
Which made it easy to see,
they never really loved me.
This new me though...
man, I don't know if I like me.
BUT... I have peace.
And thats what sells it for me.
😊
